Reusing, upcycling or recycling wood palett isn’t really a new thing. In fact, when you search about it, you’ll find thousands of great ideas of recycling wood palett from, simple to complicated projects.
Why We Love Palett?
- Wood palett is free (Frugal Chicka’s big check). You can usually find it at hardware or grocery stores. But we got ours from the company where my sister’s hubby works.
- We love the rustic style of the palett.
- “Recycling” wood palett means helping our mother nature.
- We love to create something out from scrap.
- The possibilities of creating something out from wood palett is endless.
The Three Simple Wood Palett Projects
I mentioned about the possibilities are endless. But we just started the project so we created simple yet functional wood palett projects. I say “we”, but actually it was Jean’s hubby’s [100%] hard work and we are just sharing our ideas.
The Planter Box
Just the right season to make one. Last year we had plenty of tomatoes and onion chives. Thus, we requested a planter box for more veggies to plant. We planted lettuce, spinach and zuchinni in it.
Jean’s adorable baby moves a lot. She’s now in the stage of exploring, touching and trying to eat whatever pleases her. So baby gate is really a must inside the house. But baby gate is expensive, 1 span (about a meter) will cost you approximately $30.00. Plus eventually she will out grow it.
The baby gate made out of wood palett is just perfect for the house. We can reuse it when we won’t need it anymore.
By the way, we made sure that the wood surface are smooth.
The Hexagon Outdoor Table with Attached Bench
Perfect for summer season, this hexagon outdoor table with attached bench is his first project. He was using hand saw with this one thus it took him few days to finish the whole table.
We invested tools to pursue this wood palett project. Hopefully before cold season hits we’ll be able to create another simple yet functional furniture out of wood palett.
